Beta testing for both developers and the general public has been ongoing since Apple unveiled iOS 16 at WWDC in June. Apple announced that the new software will be made available on September 12 during its iPhone 14 announcement. The most recent version of the iPhone software includes a new Home app, customized iPhone Lock Screens, updated notifications, an undo button and editing for Messages, and much more.
Features of iOS 16
Redesign of the lock screen
iOS 16 make your iPhone unique with brand-new ways to customize the Lock Screen. Highlight favourite images, alter font styles, and put up a few widgets to access information quickly.

Live Activities

Set up a Focus quickly
In iOS 16, you can choose the apps and individuals you wish to get notifications from by either permitting them or silencing them in Focus's newly simplified settings. Connect your Focus to your Lock Screen so that your iPhone's appearance and feel correspond to how you intend to use it at the time. You may switch between your Personal Focus and your Work Focus with a swipe thanks to widgets that display scheduled meetings and to-do lists.
Smart ways to share photos
In iOS 16, you have the option to add older pictures based on a start date or the subjects of the pictures when you create or join a Shared Photo Library. Once the shared library is configured, you may instantly share photographs from Camera, select to share automatically when other shared library users are around, and access For You to receive insightful suggestions for adding photos to the shared library.
Improved daily messaging
In iOS 16, you can now make changes to a recently sent message or decide not to send it at all. Additionally, if you are unable to react right away but want to do so later, you can mark a message as unread.
Live Text for video
In iOS 16, to use common operations like copy, translate, look up, share, and more, pause a movie on any frame with text.
Updated Home app
In iOS 16, the Home app has been completely redesigned to be even more effective and dependable.
14 Utilize the newly designed Home tab to navigate all of your smart home accessories. You can now access the necessary accessories with just a tap thanks to new sections for climate, lights, security, and more. Additionally, a multicamera view places your smart home cameras in the spotlight.
Updated Health app
In iOS 16, you can manage and keep track of the medications you take using the new Medications section in the Health app. Additionally, you can now invite loved ones to safely share their information stored in the Health app in order to stay connected on what matters most.
iPhone fitness application
Even without an Apple Watch, the Exercise app may assist you in tracking and achieving your fitness objectives. Your steps, distance travelled, and workouts from third parties will now estimate your calories to help you reach your daily movement goal using iPhone motion sensors.
Security Check
In cases of domestic or intimate partner violence, Security Check enables victims to examine and reset the access they've given to others. Security Check resets the system's app privacy permissions and limits FaceTime and Messages to the current device.
